The Tanzania Study Abroad Program is a once–in–a–lifetime experiential education opportunity to study in Africa. Students have the chance to interact with the local people and places in a hands-on setting instead of in a classroom. Courses offered are integrated with one another for a holistic, interdisciplinary educational experience and include HIST 3520 and INTB 5100 with an emphasis on Entrepreneurship. Students learn how to find sustainable solutions to common problems.

This is one of the most economical ways to travel to Africa for half the price of commercial African safaris, but it is so much more! The Maymester in Tanzania program travels across northern Tanzania, down to the coast to the city of Dar es Salaam and the island of Zanzibar plus mainland field experience to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Serengeti. Students earn credit in two academic courses (either in core level or upper level) while participating in interdisciplinary activities.
