What is the UGA Kickstart Fund?​

The Kickstart Fund is a student-managed venture capital (VC) fund that invests $100,000 in UGA student-run businesses through privately funded seed grants of $1,000-$5,000. The Fund is composed of 11 Partners and 11-15 Associates who review companies seeking funding.

​We offer student founders significant amounts of capital to scale their business. We offer members of the Fund the experience of managing, investing and tracking seed-stage investments in a controlled environment.

Types of Grants

We offer Starter Grants of $500-$1,000
​Requirements:
- Any UGA student with a good business idea can apply!
​
We offer Regular Grants of $1,000-$5,000
Requirements:
- Either have consistent revenue
- Or have gone through an accelerator/ incubator program.
